Layout and Margins

The page orientation and print margins can be set with the Page Setup screen:

These settings apply to the Active Score. Each score document holds its own settings.

The margins are defined in millimetres. If a margin is smaller than the printer's hardware margins, the user will be prompted during printing whether to ignore the warning, or to fix the margins. If Ignore is chosen part of the score page may be clipped. If Fix is chosen, the problem margin(s) will be adjusted to the printer's minimum hardware margin.

Note: Printed margins may be out by 1-2mm if draft quality is used. If this happens, switch to Normal or Best quality.

The paper orientation is set here to show how the score will appear on the screen. Important: Always check this setting on the printer dialog before the actual print!

The paper size options are A4 (210 x 297 mm) and Letter (8.5 x 11 in).

These settings also affect Print Preview, so it's always a good idea to do a preview before printing.
